WD Food Service Management of Dade County is a Prek-12th grade food service company that distributes school meals throughout South Florida including Dade County. We are looking for professional food service contractors to assist with the daily preparation, distribution, and opening organization of our Miami operation.
EXPERIENCE
Bulk food catering and banquet operations. Daily catering preparation of meals, CCP Guidelines, Sanitation, Temperature control, Health Department Standards, Team Organization, Dependability.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of food services relevant to Job Description
Proper Lifting and carrying of items or objects weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 55+ pounds with assistance
Standing for extended periods of time
Use cleaning chemicals and materials
Operate commercial kitchen equipment (large and small)
Follow food service CCP| Health Department| Safety guidelines and standards
Shift Ranges: 4am-11:00am (5 to 8 hours daily, depending on job title\duties assigned)
DUTIES…
Performs food preparation activities, i.e., assembling recipe/menu items, washing and cutting fruits and vegetables, slicing breads and meats, opening canned goods, mixing ingredients.
Performs cooking activities, i.e., baking breads and desserts, steaming vegetables, baking meats and main dishes.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Familiar with industry’s best practices.
Be responsible for and Complete assigned duties/tasks within the scheduled hours ("We Do Not Micro Manage")
